Economically, the state’s pipeline industry and system are expected to contribute more than $374 billion to Texas’ economy in the time from 2015 to 2024 and sustain 171,000 high-paying jobs annually, Texas Tech University estimates. That would inject more than $19.5 billion in state and local government revenues.
